red velvet or nothing at all

Info:

'red velvet or nothing at all' is the title of a trilogy of pieces designed to be performed one after the other in the course of a single, one-and-a-half-hours event. At present these works also exist as separate pieces in their own right. The pieces are:

Section I: Don't Touch Me! (I Hate You Sometimes)

Section II: Hour Lives

Section III: Day 65

Documentation of each individual piece (including audio and video extracts) can be accessed by clicking on the titles above. This will take you to the various individual 'Sounds Pages' documentations on this site.

The title of the trilogy is taken from part of the text in the video-part of the central section - Hour Lives, part III: Where has my love gone?. All of the video parts are by collaborating visual-artist Rob Kennedy.

red velvet or nothing at all is for amplified instrumental ensembles, computer, live-electronics and multi-screen videos. It requires a large gallery space for performance. For more information, please contact Peter Dowling directly.
