N.B. - to listen to/view the audio/video links from the 'SOUNDS' page you will need QuickTime installed. Get Quicktime (FREE) for Windows HERE, or for Mac HERE (Linux etc users are clever enough to know what to do...)... If your browser is set to play QT files IN it, the audio or video file will open up in a new page and play; if not, once the link is clicked-on your browser will ask you to download it. Either way, the choice is yours...

Peter Dowling's 'SOUNDS' Disclaimer:

" The MP3-audio and QuickTime-video files linked-to from the 'sounds'-page of this site, document a lot of my work over the last few years, and you are free to download them and listen / watch, if you are interested. However, most of this material is not indicative of my current music, and is therefore not available for public performance or release, etc. This includes almost all COMPOSITIONS before 2004 and all IMPROVISATIONS before 2007. Of course, the idea of 'disowning' free-improvised pieces, made with the collaborations and skills and individualisms of other musicians, is slightly absurd, as free-improvisation cannot be 'owned' in this sense in the first place. So for the record, I take full responsibility for any of my performances represented in the Improvisations section of this site, and for me they are still interesting and worth listening to, which is why they are up on this site. I just feel that it is important to clarify that I do not 'work' in this way any longer. With regards my solo compositions, again, I still find the pre-2004 pieces worthwhile, but merely want to point out that I do not believe it is worth performing this material in public any longer. The internet seems to me the perfect place and means to document past work in this way. For more info on my thoughts, or on individual pieces / performances, contact me... "
