Note:
Seatbelt and Soul is a re-arrangement of a piece I wrote a while ago called Seatbelt Saved My Soul . It is largely the same, but some of the instruments are different and I've added a few notes on top, as returning to it I found that it is the sort of (deceptively) simple piece that was asking to have layers added. Of course this all means that it is now very different to the original.
In fact, in the time since I wrote it the piece has become about a feeling rather than an event (hence the “and” rather than the “Saved My”). Which is, I guess, what happens to events if you let them stew in the memory, which is, I guess, what the piece is ‘about'. Although my music is never truly ‘about' things other than itself.
